in 1715 the population increased to 28 million which led to a huge demand of food crops where as the growth was not enough and hence the price of bread a daily requirement rose rapidly and the people of the 3rd estate were employed as workers in the workshop and their salaries were fixed by their owners but the amount they got was not enough for fulfilling the demand of the families and hence the gap between the poor and rich widened and the situations were worst when the crops were destroyed by the weather problems All the above problem led to subsistence crisis
