Explanation:

So despite getting rid of all the tigers in and around his kingdom, it was most ironic that the hundredth tiger, a wooden one, took its final revenge upon the King. A tiny sliver of wood from the wooden tiger pierces the King's right hand which ultimately leads to his death.

In the Story 'The Tiger King ' , the king was finally killed by a wooden toy Tiger as predicted by the priests.

It was predicted that the king would be killed by the 100th Tiger that he hunts. So the king decided to take down 100 tigers to prove this wrong . He killed 99 tigers and the 100th one was not killed by him , as he thought it was .

Then he bought the wooden Tiger for his son , and his hand was injured due to it's low quality , while handling it . and because of infection from this wound, the Tiger King died . Thus the 100th Tiger killed him .
