Gravitational force continued to act on the ball when in mid air.

• When we throw a ball in the upward direction,we apply a significant amount of force on that ball. But our interaction with that ball is limited by that single force application.

• Now when the ball goes upward,the downward facing gravitational force continuously acts on that ball to decrease the velocity of the ball in the upward direction and to change the motion of the ball in the downward direction.

• So,in the mid air,only the gravitational force is applied on the ball.
