Gravity exists in our solar system from the subatomic level all the way to the sun's gravity, from the least amount to the greatest amount. Gravity is relative to the amount of mass present.  In the case of the sun, its gravity overcomes Newton's first law of motion and causes each of the planets to move just enough out of a straight line (as Newton's law suggests) to curve its motion. It is this same reason that moons stay in orbit around the planets.
