How much, what, when, in what way something will be produced is determined by the government officials, and in this type of economy everyone is supposed to have the same income despite the differences in the workplaces. While this may sound somewhat good idea, in practice always turned out to be disastrous, with millions of people living in poverty, or even dying from hunger because of bad planning.
