Griffin has to become bandage because nobody can see him without any clothes on his body
so as to take the room in hotel he has to dress up like that and he bandage him also so as to get some sympathy from people to get him place to stay for that night

Answer:

Griffin, the invisible man tries to wrap himself such that no even a single part of his body hemains uncovered because he is invisible, he doesn't want any kind of suspicious thoughts about him that can lead to his revelation of his identity. he covers his head and face with bandages wrapped up all around (even the wig that he is wearing) such that not even a single place is able to breath naked except his eyes that he covers with glasses with side lights. He wears shirt and coat and trousers to hid his body and look dignified.
