Given,
The two terms are = A day and 8 hours
To find,
The fraction formed by the given two terms.
Solution,
According to the data mentioned in the question, we have to take the 8 hours as the numerator of the fraction and 1 day as the denominator of the fraction.
Now, to make a fraction we have to get two terms with same units.
Term simplification = 1 day = 24 hours
Fraction formation :
= Numerator / Denominator
= 8/24 (putting the values)
= ⅓
(This cannot be further simplified)
Hence, 8 hours is ⅓rd part of a day.
