Journey by night is a adventure story it can also be called an adventure thriller but we cannot neglect that the message of the poem that goes far beyond the perilous journey that Sher Singh made. It is the story of the love of a brother. This story truly proves that love can move mountains. We can't forget the hidden feeling of Sher Singh to prove himself worthy of his father and his feeling of self respect when he earns the money to buy his meal but does not resort to begging. It tells us that greatness is not restricted to those who are "high born" or possess great wealth or intellect. Greatness can be shown by a small village boy of twelve driven by the determination to save his brother.
