Answer:

Hey!

Here's a little passage that I wrote describing the first time a mother sees her son.

Translation:

Here was the boy of my dreams. He had curly brown hair that resembled the color of coca. His cheeks blushed and his face was wet with tears. He was so beautiful that the angels were jealous of him. His small body trembled between my arms. And then he closed his big eyes and he slept. He was puny, but his spirit was braver than a lion. He was perfect, a gift from God to me

Analysing this piece:

qui ressemblait a la couleur du coca: use phrases such as ressemblait a to compare the object/person you are describing to something else. Using phrases like moins/plus/autant/aussi ... dxe/que can also help. This makes your writing more compelling.

Ses joues ont rougi et son visage était mouillé de larmes: Your goal in descriptive writing should be to draw a vivid image of the subject in the reader's mind. Supply details such as the ones cited above to achieve this.

Use it to convey an idea poetically. In moderation. it can vastly improve your writing.
