The excerpt has been taken from the story Gulliver's Travels written by Jonathan Swift.
In his second voyage, Gulliver happens to stay on the island of Brobdingnag. Here the inhabitants were all giants and Gulliver looked like the Lilliputians in front of them He was constantly facing some danger due to his small size.
The biggest danger he faced was the with the monkey. It was a warm day and the window of the closet was open. Glumdalclitch leaves Gulliver in her closet for a moment when a monkey dives into the room. The monkey mistakes Gulliver for a baby monkey and grabs and carries him away out of the room. The monkey keeps stuffing Gulliver with all the food it had collected for its baby. A crowd gathers to save Gulliver but they start laughing seeing Gulliver's state of being stuffed with food. Finally, the monkey drops Gulliver down and runs away.
