As soon as Dakota entered the huge mountain like cloud everything appeared black to the pilot. there was no visibility. the instruments such as the compass also broke down and he wasn't able to make any connection with the Paris control. And he had switched to the last fuel tank so he wasn't expecting that he would come out safe. Then by a miracle, he saw a black aeroplane who's pilot was waving him to follow and after thirty minutes when his plane could be in air for ten more minutes ..he saw an airport and he realised that he was safe. But when he turned around to thank that pilot,there was no one.
