if there would be no peristallic movement in the oesophagus then the food cannot reach the oesophagus as peristallic movement help you to push the food you swallowed to the stomach.

If there is no peristallic movement in our foodpipe then our food pipe felt it difficult to move the food to stomach.

Food will only move in the direction of gravitation force so we can't eat food by sitting in any irrelevant position.

Our body find to swallow the food difficulty

Food may remain stuck in our food pipe
