what happen if a fielder stops the fast moving ball suddenly?

He would get hurt as there is an increase in momentum due to increase in velocity. Decreasing the momentum by increasing the time would not give the fielder much hurt... Because the momentum is directly proportional to the velocity.. And inversely proportional to time..

so the fielder does not get an injury. But if the fielders stops a fastly ball suddenly then due to large momentum a fastly moving ball it can cause . injury to the fielder.
