What happen if cells of different species of sponges are separated and then put together as a mass

The sponges will identify their own kind o cells and reject other's kind and will  generate a new sponge with their own similar cells. so different sponges will be formed

The similar species cells will aggregate and forms new cells of sponges.  

Explanation:

The cells that belong to the same species will not will combine together and start the process of reproduction and keep on producing young ones by the mode of asexual reproduction.

The cells that do not belong to the same species will be left aside. Two different species of the sponges will not mix with each other in order to live or reproduce.
