what happen if diaphragm is not there in the body

A diaphragm can mean two different things at least in this case:'
1) a barrier-type contraceptive used by women
2) the big flat muscle separating the chest cavity from the abdominal(stomach) cavity.
Diaphragm the muscle is what we use to breathe, w/o it we'd be unable to expand our chest and fill our lungs.

Diaphragm is dome shaped muscular structure below lungs which help in inhalation and exhalation. If this diaphragm is absent respiration could not occur properly and may become fatal to the victim
