if mucus is not present in human stomach then the Hydrochloric present in the stomach will burn the inner layer of stomach which can cause a lot me things like ulcer show the work of mucus to protect the inner lining of stomach

The mucus secreted by the gastric glands protect our stomach lining from the HCl in our stomach. If the mucus secretion stops, then the HCl will directly react with our stomach (we know that HCl is highly corrosive), causing acidity, burning pain etc.
In other words, our stomach will digest itself alive!!
