What happen if there is no synapse between neurons and their joints have no microscopic gap between them?

It is impossble to transmit impulses, if synapes is not present in between nerves, because,,Synapse is the small gap present in between two neurons. Synapse helps to transmit impulses from axon of one neuron to the dendrites of the next neuron.
