Once filled with food, the stomachgrinds and churns the food to break it down into small particles. It then pushes the small particles of food into the first part of the small intestine, called the duodenum. The small intestine is where most of the digestion and absorption of our foodtakes place.

Stomach:

It is a large organ which is a part of alimentary canal. It expands when food enters it.It has muscular walls.

What happens to the food in stomach???

The digestion in stomach is taken care by gastric glands which are present in the wall of the stomach.

They release hydrochloric acid and an enzyme called pepsin which digests proteins.Stomach has a lining called mucus which protects it from the reaction of acid.Food is partly digested in the stomach.

Contact if uh have any doubt.
