Question :-
what happen to the loudness of sound in vacuum?

Answer :-
Sound waves always require a material medium to propagate.
When a source of sound creates vibrations , the vibrations travel through a particular medium causing compressions and rarefactions in the medium.
If there is a vacuum , then simply the sound waves cannot travel through the medium because there will be no vibrations at all .
This is particularly because there is no material medium !
It is hence said that we cannot hear sound in vacuum.
Thus the loudness of the sound would be zero .
Hope it helps you :-)
