Natural gas, like other hydrocarbons, form carbon dioxide and water when it undergoes combustion.

CH4 + 2 O2 → 2 H2O + CO2 + energy

If the reaction occurs in an environment of inadequate oxygen, the byproduct may be carbon monoxide instead of carbon dioxide. Carbon monoxide is poisonous.

Natural gas burns pretty “cleanly”, meaning there is little to no soot (or unburned residue) that occurs with longer-chained hydrocarbons.

Answer:

They may not be as toxic as diesel fumes but, scientists at CSIR say, gases produced while burning CNG contain carbon nanoparticles... " This is a result of combustion which causes carbon disintegration. We have to see if the nanoparticles arise from CNG or the lubricant used.
