Answer:

It all comes down to form. When the paper is smooth, it exposes a large surface to the air beneath it which slows its descent. Once it is crumpled, the surface which comes in contact with the air is much smaller, allowing it to fall much faster.

Answer:

When a paper is crumpled it undergoes a physical change.

Explanation:

Physical changes are limited to changes that result in a difference in the physical appearance or display without changing the composition. Some common physical changes are:

Texture

Shape

Color

Temperature

Change of State (Boiling Point and Melting Point are significant factors in determining this change.)

When paper is crumpled, it undergoes these changes.
