Every body on this earth is attracted by the gravitational pull of the earth. ... Thishappens because the normal reaction force exerted on the object in the lift is equal to zero, nd normal force equals to mg, which in turn equals the weightof the object.

The weight changes depending on the gravity and the mass remains the same as does not change with gravity
