A charged body is made up of either an excess of positive or excess of negative charge.
When this charged body is brought near an uncharged body, charges are induced on it due to law of induction.
Their is an increase in the concentration of charges in the side of the charged body which is brought near the uncharged one.
An opposite charge is induced on the uncharged body because of repulsion between like charges.
Hope this helps
