When bases are heated externally they show various actions depending on the nature of the bases and its constitution.

They may observe a change their pH scale as it is seen to change with a change in temperature, even though it is not directly related to it.

 If the base is hydroxide of the metal then due to heating, water evaporates from the solution and the solid substance remains. Generally they start burning.
