When blue litmus is dipped in lemon juice it turn it's colour into red which indicates it is an acid.

When blue litmus is introduced to soap solution then no change is seen because soap solution is basic in nature.


When red litmus in introduced to lemon juice, no change seen which proves that it is an acid.

But red litmus with soap solution turns blue which indicates it is basic in nature.
