when chemical such as Pestisides get washed off in water bodies they affect water and aquatic life present in that water pesticides contains harmful materials

Pesticides are helpful in getting rid of plant pests....but when they get washed off due to rain or due to any other reason,they either enter the soil or enter water bodies. Here they act as pollutants and contribute to the destruction of aquatic animals and plants.
