when dilute HCl is added to Fe then Ferrous chloride and hydrogen gas will be form.

Reaction of acid with metal :-
Acid + Metal ---> Salt + Hydrogen gas
so here ,
acid = hydrochloric acid , HCl
metal = Iron , Fe
HCl + Fe ----> FeCl₂ + H₂ [ unbalanced equation)
balanced equation:-
2HCl + Fe ----> FeCl₂ + H₂
FeCl₂ [ ferric chloride] is the salt produced and H₂ gas is liberated.
