What happen when ferrous sulphate is heated to 850 k and why?

On heating ferrous sulphate cristal lose water an anhydrous ferrous sulphate is formed and colour change to light green to white. On feather heating anhydrous ferrous sulphate is decomposed and from ferric oxide sulphur dioxide and sulphur trioxide.
