When Louis XVI rejected the proposal of the third estate people they walked out of the hall and into a tennis court where they all seated themselves and they took a oath not rest until France gets independence.

Each estate had the one vote, and the same practice was to be continued on 5 May 1789. But the third estate demanded that each member should have one vote. This demand was clearly rejected by the Louis XVI and all the members of the third estate left the assembly hall in protest.
