What happen when penta hydrated copper sulphate crystals are heated give chemical equation

Explanation:

The crystals of copper sulphate seems to be dry , but actually contains water of crystallization and are blue in colour .When the Penta hydrated copper sulphate crystals are heated ,they lose their water of crystallization and the colour changes from blue to white.

When heated, the compound loses its water molecule and becomes anhydrous. Thus it loses its blue colour and turns white.

CuSO4•5H2O -----------> CuSO4 + 5H2O
