The sun can sometimes get a bad rap for only having negative effects on our health when, in fact, it has several positive effects for our overall health. Carey Bligard, MD, UnityPoint Health, says like many other things, sunshine should be enjoyed in moderation to avoid painful sunburn, heat rash, wrinkles and skin cancer.

Due to exposure to the sun, the temperature inside the fuel tank rises. This causes the fuel to convert into a gaseous state and this them slowly begins to escape from the fuel lid.
Also, the fuel which is present on the pipe or the hoses on is way to the engine, there are  remnants present in the pipe when the bike is stopped. Sunlight causes a degradation of the rubber causing impurities to form in the fuel and decompose the fuel. And this in turn causes a chain reaction ending with complete decomposition of the fuel.
