zinc react with sulphate and form zinc sulphate and copper solid will form this is because the zinc is more reactive than copper

When strip of zinc is placed in BLUE coloured solution of CuSO4 ( copper sulphate ) , being more reactive than copper it displaces copper from CuSO4 solution thus forming COLOURSLESS solution of ZnSO4 ( zinc sulphate ) and at the same time , reddish brown particles of copper settle down in the beaker. it is an example of displacement reaction.
