what happen when sulphur burns in the presence of oxygen? How will you show that the compound formed in this reaction is acidic in nature?

if the sulfur burns in the presence of oxygen  if we take sulfur in deflagrating  spoon heated in a bunser burner it begans to burn and then lowered into a jar of pure oxygen .The sulfur then flares up into a much brighter  blue frame and eventually begins to throw of fumes of sulfur dioxide and trioxide
