If a gas is heated up, its particles move around more quickly. They hit the walls of their container harder and more often. This increases the pressure. Sometimes the pressure gets so great that the container bursts.

If we start putting pressure on a gas containing cylinder then the gas will be compressed and become liquid.yes, increasing the pressure and decreasing temperature will cause change in the state of matter.Eg.- CNG and LPG are formed by compressing it in a similar way that increasing in pressure and decreasing in temperature changes its state from gas to liquid.

Pressure has no effect on solid and liquid whereas the volume of gas decrease with increase in pressure. This leads to the conversion of the gaseous state into a liquid state and eventually into a solid state. The volume of the gas decreases on applying pressure on gases because gases are compressible.
