What happend with the aeroplane inthe clouds

As his plane moved inside the dark clouds, his compass stopped working and he was not able to see anything. Even his radio was not working and he was not able to contact ground control. ... But as mysteriously as it had arrived, the plane disappeared.

Cloud never affects aeroplane, its a very wrong notion.
