we know , focal length of lens depend upon refractive index of medium.
e.g 1/f =(u - 1){ 1/R1 - 1/R2}
where i is the refractive index of lens relative to vaccum or air .
now, we submerged lens in a liquid which refractive index ( d ) = u
e.g d = u
u/d = 1
now ,
after submerged the lens in a liquid then,
1/f' =(u/d - 1){ 1/R1 - 1/R2}
= (1 - 1){ 1/R1 - 1/R2}
= 0
f' = infinite , it means lens convert in simple mirror .
