After the fall of Roberspierre's Government, the wealthier middle class came to power. They drafted a constitution which denied non - propertised people to vote. And this government was headed by directory. This government was formed by electing two legislative councils who further elected the director or five executives.
These five executives were given power inorder to save that condition help in Roberspierre's government where power was focussed in kne hand. However, soon the ideas of Directors clashed with thoughts of legislatives and they dismissed them. This political instabillity paved way for a military ruler Napolean Bonaparte.

Robespierre was the head of the political party known as the jacobin club. He was elected to rule the france.
But, soon after his election robespierre adopted various harsh policies.
He introduced the equality bread and rationed the food grains.
But, during his reign various people were killed by him.
This was very difficult for the people living in france to bear him.so at last he was removed from the post and he was also killed as he used to do with those who disobeyed him.
After the removal of the robespierre headed jacobin government the place of ruling the france was empty.
Then the rule of directory came into existence.
The directory took the chance of ruling the french people and satisfy them by fulfilling their demands.
This party knew that the jacobin government was uprooted from the french government due to its internal conflicts. So, the rule of directors saw a change to avoid this.
The directory was divided into 5 groups or boards which were given different works .
The directory did this to keep a check on the entire governance and make the governance free from all the malicious practices which continued in the french society.
The 5 boards proved to be a very bad idea as they itself indulged in the conflicts and led their government to leave the power of governing France.
Soon after the fall of the directory , Military dictator Napolean Boneparte raised to the thrown and declared himself as the emperor of the france.
The people at first thought him as a liberator but soon after that they realised that he was a was monger who simply indulged himself in wars and conquering other places.
But,
Napolean brought various changes in the french society.
He redesigned the taxation system of france, brought changes in weighting measurements and implemented single measurement system all across the french society.
But,
At last people wanted that he should be removed from the thrown as he was not working for the french people and the country.
So, Napolean was at first exiled from where he escaped.
Later on he was recaptured and was sent to an unknown island where he died in isolation.
After this , Democratic principles were restored in France.
All the people irrespective of any cast, colour, creed were allowed to vote.
But the criteria was that the voter must be a man who is 21 years or above.
Women did not get any right to vote.
And gradually france developed.
Presently it is standing as one of the most developed countries of the world.
