At the end ‘The Selfish Giant’ had a peaceful death and was taken by baby Jesus to heaven.

EXPLANATION:

In the short allegorical story 'The Selfish Giant', Oscar Wilde describes the transformation of a selfish giant to an unselfish kind hearted person.

Initially the giant was mean and cruel. He didn't allow the children to play in his garden. This angered the good seasons and spring and summer deserted it. Finally he realised his mistake by sighting a small boy who was actually Jesus. Then onwards he opened his garden gates and welcomed the children. He became their best friend. Years passed happily. At the end he died peacefully and was showered with blossoms. The little boy came to take him to heaven.
