According to the French revolution.

In the meeting of estate generals third estate demanded for 1 person 1 vote but it was denied by the king , Louis 16 . In anger and protest people of 3rd estate walked out and gather in a Tennis court where they declared themselves as the National assembly and take an oath and swore to make a new constitution for France which will limit the power of Monarch . This oath and swore was termed as Tennis court oath .
