Answer:
Some information beforehand:
What is a synapse?
A Synapse is the space junction between two adjacent nerves where the nerve ending of one neutron meets the dendrite of another neutron.
What really happens at the synapse?
When an electrical signal from the receptors reach the synapse b/w two neurons, a chemical called neurotransmitter is released. These chemicals cross the synapse (gap) and then start a similar electrical impulse in the dendrite of the next neuron.
I hope this helps you user! Kindly comment back if there is any problem! Have a great day!:D
