Before the big bang people believe that there was only the sun but due to the collision with another object. the breakdown took place forming the planets , galaxies , stars,etc.. our earth for several years was hot like the sun but later got slowly cooled down and so gases , volcanoes,water bodies , land forms were made after cooling .
