HERE IS YOUR ANSWER:

The majoritarian measures taken in Sri Lanka to establish Sinhala supremacy were:

1.In 1956, an act was passed to recognise Sinhala is the only official language, thus disregarding Tamil.

2. University position and government jobs favoured Sinhala applicants.

3. A new constitution was stimulated to protect and spread Buddhism.

4. the Sri Lankan Tamils felt that no one of the major political parties led by the Buddhist sinhala leaders were sensitive to their language and culture and denied them equal political rights which lead to increased feeling of alienation among them.

Hope it helps you☺️
