what happened if negative end of ammeter is connected positive end of the battery

Answer:

Always connect the red (+) terminal on the ammeter to the positive terminal on the power supply.

Explanation:

Positive terminal of battery is always connected to +ve terminal of ammeter because if we will connect +ve terminal of battery to -ve terminal of ammeter the current will not flow in right direction hence we will no be able to find the correct value of current in a circuit.
