Answer:
Explanation:
Answer:-
Refer to the attachment for prism diagram.
The Phenomenon, step by step:-
- First, a white light enters through the prism.
- The principle of the prism phenomenon is Refraction.
- Scattering of light takes place.
- The light breaks into 7 colors:-
- Violet
- Indigo
- Blue
- Green
- Yellow
- Orange
- Red
- Often known as VIBGYOR.
- However, scattering takes place by flipping the order.
- Red has the least deviation. Fastest colour is also, red.
- And violet, most deviated color. However, this is the slowest color.

★ANSWER:-
Refer to the Attachment
what happens while the white light passes through prism
- First the white light is passed through a glass prism.
- Then the glass prism splits into its spectrum of colours it is (violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red)
- This process of white light splitting into its colours is known as dispersion.
- Therefore, the speed with which they all bend varies depending on this wavelength.
- Where violet bends the most, having the shortest wavelength.
- Red bends the least, having the longest wavelength.
★EXPERIMENT FUN:-
- Get a plane mirror of a suitable size. place it in a bowl.
- Fill the bowl with water. Put this arrangement near a window in such way that direct sunlight should fall on the mirror.
- Adjust the position of the bowl so that the reflected light from the mirror falls on a wall.
- If the wall is in another color except white, fix a sheet of white paper on it.
- Reflected light will be seen to have many colors.
- The mirror and water form a prism. This breaks up the light into it's colours is known as dispersion of light.
- Rainbow is a natural phenomena showing dispersion.
