In Oct (12 Oct, 1999) the thwn Pervez Musharraf took over power in Pakistan from Nawaz Sharif the vaid elected govt through a bloodless coup.
The impact was a military rule was imposed
State of emergency was declared
Press censorship was imposed
Parvez Musharraf became the chief executive
Writ of the constitution was suspended which was revived in 2001. And in 2002 general elections were held.
