Let the side of square be x
Area =x^2
Now,
side =3x
Area=3x×3x
=9x^2
Increase in area =9x^2- x^2
=8x^2
℅ increase in area =8x^2/x^2 ×100℅
=800℅
Hence we conclude that when the side of a square is tripled ,its area increases by 800℅

Let side be = x
So, Area = x^2

Now, triple the side = 3x
So, Area = 3x^2 * 3x^2 = 9x^2

Now, We know that Increase%
 \frac{increased \: area}{original \: area}  \times 100
Increased Area = 9x^2 - x^2 = 8x^2

 \frac{8 {x}^{2} }{ {x}^{2} }  \times 100
So Area is increased by 800%
