The golden leaves was distributed by the swallow to the poor children in the dark lanes. The leaves of gold that cover the prince were all gone and the statue looked the dull and shabby. In the next morning when the mayor was walking in the square below in company with town counselors he said how shabby the Happy Prince looks and he ordered it to be pulled.
