The Maasai people are an ethnic group living in modern day Kenya and Tanzania. They are own for their high tolerance and rarity of modern diseases attributed to their diet of fresh milk, meat and blood.
They heavily rely on cattle for it's meat, milk and blood, latter of the two which they mix and drink together.
However, in the period of 1933-1934, Kenya suffered from severe droughts which led to many of their cattle dying early or becoming insufficient due to shortage of food suppliers. The drought is said to have resulted in the death of thousands of tribes people and reduced their population

Today the traditional homeland of Maasai people is till prone ti droughts..
