This poem is a ballad ( a short stanza story ) in this the author phoebe Cary describes about a grassy women and a saint Peter . the women was making cakes and the saint Peter was wary hungry and wanted a cake because he was very hungry . but the women tried thrice to make a small cake but every time the cakes seem to be too large and he put the cake into her self . finally the saint Peter became very angry and curse has to became a wood pocket who have to struggle hard to get a little food and the whole world's student will see her as a Bird.
