when ferrous sulphate crystals are heated it loses the water of crystallization and as a result the blue colour salt is turned into white colour.

Ferrous sulphate Fe(SO4).7H2O ( green)when heated , loses its water of crystallisation and gets converted into white coloured Fe(SO4). When we further heat Fe(SO4) we get Fe2O3+SO2+SO3
